  1. its usually in stores on wednesday. ill have to snoop around after work to get it.
  2. I think Bush would be the #3 so either Manny or CV would get the start at Miller Park with Sheeter pitching on Saturday.
  3. i turned it off. it was terrible. The first segment he spent talking about the greeks celebrating the real easter and other non-sports topics. They also were screaming into the mics it seemed. today was better with andrew sicilliano (sp?)
  4. i'd rather have him than McClung has the long reliever. That being said, just like the argument last year of how dessens needed to be released even though he only really cost us one game, it is not as significant of a move as some would believe. When the team is expected to do well everything is augmented.
  5. i would doubt that. he pitched good enough in spring. i think the prince of darkness would be on that one.
  6. well yogo will be off the dl in mid-april (knock on wood) and a roster move will have to be made. maybe this a temporary move.
  7. this really don't make sense. I have always envisioned McClung as very expendable. We could probably of gotten a AA prospect for a team looking for some middle relief. I think from a win now prospective I think it makes more sense to send the CV/ Parra rotation looser to the pen.
  8. Wood was named the closer today. That should be very interesting, I am not sure if he is going to be able to hold up in such a roll. I am surprised they took Dumpster out of that role.
  9. brain i saw 2 of the shirts are available, when are the others going to be. I'd like to get my hands on at least a yosted shirt for opening day!
  10. First off, for those who want Simmons to be a GM, that would be a terrible move. He has no experience in ACTUALLY making trades. Its easy to write about trades and criticize others after the fact. Making your own is a hole new ball game. Bringing in Rick Sund, Dave Babcock, or Dave Collins is no solution either. Besides bringing in Walsh and letting him do what you want, I don't have a good solution. All i know is we need to get someone from the outside with a proven track record. Those 3 fail that category. I hope Herb is embarrassed and remembers the only time he has had remote success since 1991 was when he let Grunfeld run the show, and Karl coach.
  11. I saw a few reports about Baldelli simply listing his DL trip as "exhaustion" - which is certainly curious since, as the writer points out, Baldelli never plays. I bet Hench isn't even aware that Baldelli's "exhaustion" is actually a much more serious illness that could be potentially life threatening and is certainly career threatening. if that is the case, i think he at least owes Rocco an apology for writing that column without the complete facts.
  12. First of all I don't see why the two major providers of sports continues to try to go out of their way to annoy people and turn people away from their networks, considering there are so many options for us to get our sports info from. Whether its ESPN's obsession with the sox and yanks, ESPN's "cute" segments, or FOX's completely inappropriate. comments. I don't know how that can get through an editor. I understand writers want to shock people to get readers but there has to be a line. Bravo to you Brian for standing up to FOX.
  13. WOW what a game....
  14. really the only game that messed me up on the pool i had money on (so the only one i care about) was i had arizona in the sweet 16.
  15. good thing on the bracket that i actually put money on i took MSU beating Temple. In my real bracket i have South Alabama and Siena in the sweet 16 as Cinderellas. Xavier definitely wore Georgia down in the end, which i expected since they had to play 3 games in 2 days last weekend. So far so good for MU. I'm loving having the games online at work to day.
  16. so who would be moving to maryvale and don't the brewers have a lease or something with the facility?
  17. well if its dave babcock and Larry K stays, i am done.
  18. its makes sense from a logistics point of view, since all our minor league teams are east of the mississippi. The biggest problems are that teams are flocking out of florida and we just got a new facility, unless the teams gets another new one or better one there is no point to leave.
  19. good news, problem is i hope kohl learns his lesson that you can't go cheap with the coach or gm. look at what the rockets are doing with a great coach and minimal talent.
  20. awesome. thanks pedro. I had him sign a ball many years ago and lost in when i moved out of my parents house. It will be a great addition to my collection.
  21. the look on herb's face is priceless, its like he doesn't understand why we are bent and not going to the games.
  22. my brackets are done but this is the first year in a while i don't have a strong opinion on the champion. although i am usually wrong, i usually have a good opinion.
  23. link further proof harris is gone. problem is that if walsh is brought in, doesn't look good for my dream coach carlisle taking over.
  24. my guess is that this week is the tourney preview edition, next week is the mlb preview.
