  1. cub fan is very concerned that they have to face a lefty. I am hoping that facing one too gets Braun out of this minislump. Welcome back Woogie!
  2. he seems to have a role and it is as a ROOGY. With his stuff it appears he can come in with 2 outs, and get someone out. We saw in Arizona he has trouble and tires when forced to pitch a full inning. When the pen expands Saturday I think he can definitely help up.
  3. my boss rented them for a day and picked them up here and took them to madison and then had to take them back the next day.
  4. Kremblas has some postives in his favor. First of all he has won in Huntsville and Nashville, which has to be worth something. He is younger and can relate to the younger players on the team. That being said, if Ned gets the axe I want an experienced coach. Look at the bucks they were a young talented team under Dunleavy and Ford, but didn't do anything until Karl came here, and hasn't done anything since he left. Rookie managers are the cheap way to go, but we are at the point where we are going to have to pay someone about 5 million a year to come here and get us in the playoffs.
  5. 2002 was the low point for me, if I didn't leave then why the heck would I leave now. We all may be frustrated cause playoffs looked so realistic no more than a month ago, still next year the prospects of atleast a playoff run are good. I grew up with this team, have so many good memories that are brewer related, why would i just jump ship.
  6. my guess is that no move was made to pave the way for sheets, but who knows.
  7. so i am going to guess she didn't win?
  8. nice, bruce you beat espn by 13 minutes. I guess it makes sense only in the sense that now the astros can see what cooper can do for the final month. I was always a garner fan and wouldn't mind him coming back here, but I know that would never happen. He is atleast an experienced manager that took his team to the world series.
  9. i think i agree with brewtank, but of course i would never state it in such a way. I do not think the brewers would want to loose another starter, especially with really no options behind him. That being said, I wouldn't call Vargas consistent. He may win more often than the other starters, but he gets into way too many jams for my liking. He has been able to get out of them more often than say Capuano or Suppan. Looking at his gamelog, He has had 7 quality starts this season, so i wouldn't say he has been dominating this season at all.
  10. should be an interesting lineup with no prince, i'll guess weeks dillon gross braun hall mench hart estrada vargas
  11. i can do a lot of baseball cards from 88-98ish. I have albums and albums. I also have some last game at county stadium balls, miller park ground breaking balls, and first game at miller park balls. Corey Koskie autographed baseball.
  12. i think the show is just as good as mvp 05. It is leaps and bounds better than 2k7 and 2k7 used mvp's developer. I am intrigued that mvp08 will be out on ps3. May be worth looking into, even though it won't be as good as any mlb game.
  13. the only extra white one i have is keunn, is that enough?
  14. i sold a ps3 on there before. No insertion or selling fees. You can email the person back for interest. I made the transaction in person the next day. Couldn't of been easier.
  15. Id go with Sheets, only cause of his longevity with the team. Uecker is not as much as a national figure as he was earlier in his career so I do not think he can be the face of the franchise. When he had his own tv show, was in movies, and was on carson all the time, you may of had a point. When healthy he has been one of the best starters in the nl for a few seasons, this is prince's breakout year, but I am not ready to call him the face of the franchise just yet.
  16. the team up until this year has always had a full size retro bobblehead, id like to see that come back and have them do a 90's brewers are stop with all the 82. Vaughn, Burnitz, or Cirillo would be excellent choices. All the bobbleheads have been players I have never seen or saw in the twilight of their careers. that being said i am going with Braun Hart Hardy Cirillo Polish
  17. i just got the new 12 stones album. Pretty good but not as good as their debut.
  18. for us i think a 3-1 cardinals series is the best. That would even out the 2 teams no matter what we do against the reds. Of course today's results doesn't make that look very likely.
  19. It took a while, but the cubs finally have a better chance to win the nl central according to baseball prospectus http://www.baseballprospectus.com/statistics/ps_odds.php
  20. most of the info can be gained with a wireless web, which is only 5 bucks a month. It would of been nice to know about this one last weekend while camping and i couldn't get a score on the web so i had to bother my friends back home for updates.
  21. i have always said that its a change that baseball should make. First of all it would make deadline deals easier. Simply trade for next year's first instead of arguing over prospects. Secondly if teams don't want to pay their picks they can get a decent player instead of drafting a cheaper, more signable player (ie Kyle Peterson).
  22. its much too early to start analyzing the schedule so strictly. Its very appropriate to keep track of who has more home games, but thats all i will do now. I think you did a good job of looking at it at this very moment, but injuries and resting starters for whatever reason always plays a part at the end and that is unknown. As of now id say that overall the cubs have 1 more home game left and 3 home games against us so they have a very slight advantage.
  23. best buy was pretty crazy this afternoon. Depending how late the game goes tonight and how long it takes to get back I might play a little tonight.
  24. i know someone got the game at midnight tonight and has played it already. I got it reserved and am picking it up on my lunch break. I don't think i will have time to play it at all until thursday evening though.
