    also interesting that former prospect Antoine Kelly has not been protected by the Rangers. I know it was a massive point of contention to move him, but the Rangers were not as high on him as some people on this pagee.

    i would imagine, you either see if you can go back to your old team or you wait out a year. I never thought of that.

    I think it’s hard to go from no nfl coaching experience to a coordinator. Maybe he can do it and Barry is definitely gone, but I don’t think Leonhard is the answer

    That was always the most expected outcome imho. If you are the interim boss and you get passed over, you have to leave. Just common sense

    you get 1 free transfer, I believe. I'm torn. If I am a band student, I can go from school to school and its no big deal, why shouldn't athletes have the same freedoms. That being said, have bowl games where teams have have their starters in the transfer portal, can' t be good for the sport.

    That would never happen. All schools that are not Power 5 of group of 5 schools, wouldn't survive without guaranteed payout games against the Power 5 schools. There is a also a lot of money for networks, schools, and the NCAA to make to have the big non-conference games. Yes 1 preseason and then 12 conference games makes sense, but won't happen for the same reason that anything else happens or doesn't happen in college sports; $.

    its ruining college football IMHO. You should be allowed to go if their is a coaching change without penalty. I'm Ok with getting to go once with penalty. I just think college football is better if players stay for their full 3-5 years where they started. I get college football i not the same sport is was 5 years ago, and this is the next iteration, but I don't this will help grow the sport.

    @StearnsFTWthey don’t have 10MM more to work with. Winkler makes 8. They have the mariners 1.75 million and they took on Toro. Trade is a wash. They feel like Turang is ready to play 2nd. They replaced Cutch with Winkler and got a new utility guy. It was just a baseball trade and not a cost cutting move.

    Spent a little time thinking about this trade and looking up more on Toro. Still not a fan of this move. This seems like a move the brewers would have made in the 90’s. Get 2 serviceable MLB players to try to remain competitive. Winkler is an upgrade over Cutch, and I’m excited to see what Turang does on the MLB roster. If he has a good rookie season and Winkler returns to his Reds form, it’s a good move, but those are 2 big IFS.

    When Shaka came to Marquette, this is what happened, all of his recruits followed. Fickell seems like a coach like Smart, very personable, a guy players want to play for. I wouldn’t be surprised if a bunch of these guys followed him. Plus playing in the BIG is much better than the Big 12 / AAC.

    Carr and Smith is who I would start. The Jets defense is good and especially has good CB's.

    I could also see Cincinnati as well. Especially if fickell takes their oc with him. let’s be honest, if Trent Dilfer can get a coaching job, Jim Leonhard should be one too.

    Reports are that UC’s DC Tressel is coming to UW. I would imagine that that means Leonard isn’t unless UW would have co-DC’s but I can’t imagine JL would be cool with that demotion.

    I have made a ton of WW moves the last few weeks that seem to work. Still need to win the final 2 weeks and get some help to get into the playoffs; Garret Wilson Jeff Wilson Rashaad White Traylon Burkes I am literally 2nd in my league in total points and 9th out of 10 in record. It has been by far the most frustrating season playing fantasy to date.

    I don’t think it has been that bad this year. They had 2 close loses to 2 pretty good teams and some non-inspirational wins against teams not that great. They are a young team though, and that is expected. They still have some tough non-conference games that will be a tell on how good they can be.

    honestly if he gets selected, and becomes a slightly +1 +2 WARP (what I would think is a modicum of success), is that really a mistake. Those guys are available all over the place. There has been players that you can easily deem a mistake to expose (Ryan Pressley, Obdul Herrera), but those guys are few and far between.

    unless its simply blind loyalty to the university, he is gone. If you get picked over as the top guy when you are the interim, you have to leave. Its the way things work in business and sports. I would imagine he won't be coaching the bowl game neither.

    He is the interim for the bearcats, so not likely coaching Wisconsin in a bowl

    Possibly, but they did have their backup in. I think this was the plan all along, it just didn’t get out until the season was over.

    Espn reporting that they are targeting Luke Fickel, which is surprising. Leonard deserves a shot and there will be a lot of transfers if he isn’t the guy. He is also someone who will move on if he has success at Wisconsin. Should be an interesting 48 hours in Madison.
