  1. Can someone here answer this question I know they cut Mamu yesterday and it freed up a 2 way spot. I thought 3/1 was the deadline to add a buyout player / FA to the roster and be eligible for the playoffs, since that has come and gone the bucks will go into the playoffs a 2 way player short and 1 roster spot empty? Or is the deadline later?
  2. The Horizon was one of the better mid majors but as conferences realigned the A10 and Horizon were solid places to pouch teams from. UWM enters tonight as an underdog against Wright State. I haven't watch them play all season but have been following the team online. Lundy really turned around the team much faster than expected.
  3. Maybe we should start a thread with conference tournaments beginning this weekend. really excited to see how uwm performs in the horizon league tournament. They just don’t get the coverage they deserve. If they can get past weight state, their semi and hopefully championship games will be on one of the espn channels.
  4. obviously a loss to butler or st johns would look really bad. Also a loss to a team not named Xavier, UCONN, Providence or Creighton in the tournament would hurt. If they avoid that, I think they have a chance to be a 2. It really doesn't matter much though other than for pride.
  5. ESPN still has MU as a 3 in todays update,
  6. So Haslem has just as large of a share as dinen and Edens. At some point, I think he will be the governor? The devil is in the details and I know it will take some time for the sale to be official and then hopefully more light is shed on this. also it’s crazy how much money building the fiserv and extending Giannis made Marc Lasry. Team went for 500mm to 3.5 billion in 8 years.
  7. MU up to 6th, I saw CBS sports has MU as a 2 now.
  8. I agree that ESPN's headline was confusing, If it is only 25% and he has as much say in moves as Rodgers, than who cares? if he can ever be the governor of the team, that's an issue.
  9. Lasry selling his share to the Haslem's can't be considered a good thing, based on how poor the Browns are ran.
  10. Shaka has to be big east coach of the year and kolek player of the year right?
  11. Washington intrigues me, just based on his size and pedigree The other 2 I really haven't seem much of so probably won't have an opinion until closer to April.
  12. With the state of the economy and all do the moves that haven’t worked out as planned since the hader trade, this was their only choice to not have attendance fall through the roof. I agree, let’s see what kind of decrease it is. Still 4 dollars for a Jr hotdog or a 16 oz coke isn’t a great deal
  13. Providence’s lost helped today. Marquette up by 2 games with 3 games left for all the top 4 teams.
  14. anonymous eagle
  15. I understand that, but if he makes the 26, that means somebody doesn't. I could see him backing up Rowdy and Winker, and if he does, Keston doesn't really fit anywhere.
  16. I thought the winker trade was the end of him. Brewers doing what they can do replace Keston.
  17. I’m no badger fan so I can’t help you there, but I rely on acme packing company and brewhoop for bucks and packers discussion
  18. He looks super happy. Similar to the rosenthal trade without having to give up a prospect.
  19. they may have the play in games or the NIT to look forward to.
  20. one game that went into OT. I'm sure that will be the highlight of their season.
  21. I haven't seen a breakdown prior (source jsonline, its behind their paywall so I will just summarize) Architecture/interiors is the costliest category: $105.7 million Retractable roof is a major cost driver at $37.1 million Technology is another big cost category--totaling $99.8 million Structure category at $62.5 million includes parking lots, walkways Other categories include elevators, concessions totaling $123.3 million Other broad expense categories include "vertical transportation," i.e., elevators and escalators, at $16 million; concessions infrastructure, $17 million, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems, $55.8 million. Finally, items categorized as miscellaneous add up to $34.5 million.
  22. Last night was a Q1 win, so now thats 5. They have one more ranked team on their schedule before the tourney so I am hoping they finish up strong with about 24 wins or so. You are right, MU doesn't have a star (Kolek is close though) but have a bunch of guys who know their role and do it well. This team is also very unselfish.
  23. YES MLB told the teams where their affiliates will be and made both parties sign 10 yr contracts. MLB teams did get to put in suggestions, but the MILB teams had NO say.
  24. No matter your politics, your opinion on taxation, what to do with the surplus, I think the brewers and both parities need to figure out how to keep the brewers here long term. It’s good from an income tax revenue point of but also just the view of the city. Having 2 pro teams in the city gives the city a different view rather than others of similar population with one or none. It was figured out how to do it for the bucks and now it’s time for the brewers. But just like with the bucks, I hope brewers ownership contributes similar to lasry and Edens since it does help the value of trh franchise.
  25. I'm just curious where 290MM came from? Did the brewers ask the state for this? The only statement I saw from the team doesn't mention that they did. “We are not asking for the Stadium District to take on new financial obligations under the lease, or for a new ballpark — just the resources to make sure the Stadium District’s existing obligations are met,” said Rick Schlesinger, president of business operations for the Brewers. “The Milwaukee Brewers are committed to working with policymakers on both sides of the aisle to extend the life of American Family Field and help make Major League Baseball possible in Wisconsin for the next generation,” Schlesinger said in a statement. “This will require creative solutions that garner bipartisan support.” (Source Cap Times - https://captimes.com/news/government/brewers-would-stay-in-milwaukee-through-2043-under-evers-proposal/article_5469e22f-2c39-5904-8216-942a18d4bff0.html)
