No. Shouse and Torres were warming last inning, so I'd expect one of them to come in. Yo only stayed in to hit, considering he'd probably be the best pinch hitting option anyway.

Exactly so Yost probably figured give him a good pitch to hit and maybe get a single or a double.. problem with bunting in general there is best case you get Kendall up with a guy on 2nd and 2 out and the OF playing in with Kendall so a hit probably doesn't score anyways..

If the pitcher can get a guy to second, you get the guy to second. Yo's a decent hitter, but not good enough to get into mind games.
