I too really hope they get this game in tonight. Sure we have some guys that need rest but I also think that the Cubs are emotionally drained. That was a tough one to loose.

And just because I always see more negative than positive talk about Ned, I have to say he managed a great game last night I thought.

I agree RobDeer. There has been a lot of negative talk abotu Ned for a while. He showed yesterday that he has some idea of whats going on out there.

It's looking like rain in Chicago tonight. I wonder if they are even going to be able to get this one in? I want to watch my Brewers tonight, but I don't mind allowing the bullpen (and Estrada) an extra day's rest

It looks like we'll be able to get this game in. Weather.com reports a 10% chance of precipitation tonight.

EDIT: Actually that link looks like its just for the beginning of the game....It looks like there could be some showers starting around 9-10pm tonight.

I will be in attendance tonight with my seven month pregnant wife so I'll have to keep the taunting of the Cubs fans to a minimum. I am a bit apprehensive of this one considering how well Rich Hill has been pitching this year. The last Brewer game I went to at Wrigley Stadium er...Field ended with a disappointing home run given up by Francisco Cordero. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this one will be a better result. Look for me up in the upper deck behind home plate!

I agree that Ned managed a good game last night. Villy did well and the Brewers caught a few lucky breaks.

Brewers record this year when I am in attendance: 2-0.

"Has anybody heard anything in the local news in Wisconsin the severity of Estrada's injury?"

I am sorry the local news doesn't report on what's happing with the Brewers. They only report the score.

I have a feeling that yesterday's game could be a catalyst for a nice, looooong winning streak. This team will not be at or below .500 the rest of the year (*knocks on wood*)

Random, but I just thought this one up. Feel free to use as your sig :)

I heard Melvin and Yost say that Estrada is not a big deal and should be day to day. I hope so! I heard this on WSSP and D-list . For what it's worth.

Does anyone else feel really old because the player the idolized as a kid (Griffey) is out with colon inflamation?

Yeah being that I will be 25 in July, Griffey is one of the players I have grown up watching since I was young. Probably was my favorite non-brewer in the early to late 90's.

My favorite player as a kid, Eddie Murray, is retired and in the Hall of Fame right now (and #9 All-Time in RBI's). At the age of 41, I can't say I'm feeling "old", but I'm just now starting to feel like a grown-up http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Anyone, by chance, catch Lou's post game conference last night?

Lou skipped his press conference after his batting coach was involved in a verbal altercation with the umpiring crew after the game. Gotta love those Cubbies!!

Wow, up to 4 pages...

I didn't hear about the Griffey/colon thing.. The guys' officially a train wreck,,

I feel old when I realize that I'll be 30 in four months. Sorry to those who are older than that. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

On topic, is it too early to plant a "Rich Hill has a perfect game going" jinx? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif

Anyone, by chance, catch Lou's post game conference last night?

This has been a point of contention all day in sportstalk radio down here in FIB nation. A lot of contention about Lou not doing a post game last night. They were saying that it is the first time anyone can remember a Cubs Manager skipping the post game and the feelings of many show hosts on 670 the SCORE in Chicago ran from amusement to mild anger.

An another note the 2 pm show in Chicago interviewed DM. It was a rather impersonal look at the team and his vision as a GM in general, how he builds teams around the ballpark as much as the payroll.

I'll be 25 in July aswell and Griffey was always the player I wanted to be as a kid. In hindsight, that maybe a bad thing, considering it would mean I would want to be consistantly injured. Hmmm.
