That's what I can't figure out. If we can play 39-26 baseball at home, that clearly indicates that we do have some kind of ability to win baseball games, right? I mean, I don't expect us to have the same record on the road, but 23-40?? That's just psychological.

I can only think of a few people who wanted to sign him to a 5 year deal for any amount.

 

But yeah, that's why you don't sign pitchers to deals longer than 3 years.

Yes....the team that ultimately wins the wild card, assuming it isn't the Cards or the Reds, will need to go on a big run.

With Cirillo stranding Clark at second with that strikeout, he falls to 4-for-29 with RISP and 2 outs. About the only area of hitting where he's been struggling.
