This was a flat-out terrific day to be at the ballpark.

 

Maybe not so much early on (the Brewers' early struggles at the plate reminded me of a prior (batman's?) nickname for JDLR, "King of Unhittable Filth"), but things certainly turned around nicely. Tip of the cap to Dave Bush for a career day on the mound.

And in case that weren't enough, as we got back to the car in the (Giants) parking lot, I got the best two word phone message : "he's in!" (Corey). What a topper to the day.
