On Baseball tonight they showed Ryan Braun's progression up the ladder of most home runs in first two seasons. Didn't Prince have 78? The stat on espn had the most in first two seasons as 75!

I was watching too and that didn't even cross my mind. Good call. Try sending an Email and hope they read it.

Technicaly, Prince only had 2 home runs his first season.

But his rookie season he had 28. I don't see why you would go from the first time they saw action instead of their rookie seasons.

Mark Mcgwire falls in the same catagory as Prince. Take away Mcgwire's cup of coffee in 1986, and he comes in with 81 home runs his first two seasons.

"First two seasons" would include cups of coffee. If you want to go with "first two full seasons," there's nothing wrong with going that route.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

So Ned Yost had 78 in game cups of coffee before Prince hit his first HR and only 75 for Braun?

Wait, er, um, nevermind, misreading something

What's the point of using seasons to begin with? HR/AB is what matters.
I agree, and to a similar degree, movies are measured by money made, not ticket sales, despite ticket prices going up up up, that always bugged me

Wow guys, thanks for all the info. It is pretty dumb of ESPN to use years instead of service time, but no biggie. At least they're giving us some love this year. And not just the homer John Anderson, other guys too. Maybe the world really is coming to an end.
