Brewers have bases loaded and K twice. No runs scored. Mets have one runner on second and make two outs, but score a run. Yet some people still try to say striking out is making an out like anything else and having too many K's isn't that bad.

And if we had 4 GIDP's today people would be saying the exact opposite. It's completely situation-dependent.

bases loaded and no outs and Sheets pitching, as long as the first out isn't at home I'd take a dp to score a run.

It's amazing that Bannister is topping out at 89 MPH and the Brewers are consistently swinging through the fastball.....the Brewers put the "il" into futile.....at least my fantasy baseball teams will do well since I picked up/started Bannister in any league I could.

I thought the rule was to withhold the run support when *Doug* is pitching.

The rule is not to score at all if Sheets pitches, and withold the run support when Double D is pitching but unleash the bats once he left the game.

Would you make this Sheets' last inning, with the pitch count approaching 90 and the pitching spot in the order leading off next inning? I would.

Naw, Ben's a battler...why worry about pitch counts.....he's only been on the DL 3 times in the last 15 months....

Pitch hit, 84 pitches now and they said he would only pitch 90.

It's mute now. He's at 96 and lead off the inning, and we need runs.

This has definitely been one of the most annoying games in awhile. 10 baserunners in the first 3 innings against a rookie and we get one run. The Mets scoring runs with two outs. Very annoying.

Edit: Actually, we didn't even score in the first three. Bleck.

This is why the Mets are better than Brewers, plain and simple.

I totally agree. We all know how one game determines who's a better team or not. What a horrible team we have.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
