This guy had a great voice. Always loved him on the NFL highlight films.

That is too bad. I know he was also the Voice of NFL Films, but when I heard his voice, I just always thought of baseball. He will be missed.

At least he went out doing what he loved. I saw that the AP said he was hospitalized, but this sounds pretty official.

Sad news, I always liked him on NFL Films and came to appreciate his Phillies' work with Extra Innings the last couple years. Had no idea he was that old.

 

Gotta hold fast to guys like Scully and Ueck while we still have them around.

I swear I'm not saying this to be facetious, but Kalas was also the voice behind the Puppy Bowls on Animal Planet. He made the Puppy Bowl better. RIP.
