What do we think of the Astros this year? I know they and the Brewers records are similar right now but it seems that they may have a rough year and I predicted them to finish last in the division. I do hope that it doesn't cost Cooper his job though.

Save Hunter Pence, their team is fairly old and declining, although Lee and Berkman are still very good. Oswalt is still good but will be as dominating as he used to be?

Forgive my blind optimism but I like the Brewers chances in this series even with Suppan and Parra starting over the weekend.

For what it's worth, with Fielder's HBP last night, he is now tied for 8th on the Brewer career leaderboard:

Jenkins 95

Weeks 62

Vina 58

Gantner 52

Brady Clark 50

Yount 48

Burnitz 46

Fielder 41

Cirillo 41

Jaha 38

How about a Gallardo win tonight and a split in the next two...that would be a winning road trip. Not bad after the horrendous start. Have to like the chances with Yovani on the bump...but that short porch in left can make for a funky outcome.

From the Journal...

2B Rickie Weeks

RF Corey Hart

LF Ryan Braun

1B Prince Fielder

CF Mike Cameron

SS J.J. Hardy

3B Bill Hall

C Jason Kendall

RHP Yovani Gallardo

Anyone feel like getting together for a beer or two and catching the last few innings of the game at Kips Inn on hwy 100? They have a giant screen TV, good beers.
-I used to have a neat-o signature, but it got erased.

That sounds awesome Jamie!! Unfortunately I live 3 hours away. At the least the game is in delicious HD tonight! GO Yo and GO CREW! Make it 3 in a row!

Rickie Weeks with only 1 walk this year so far. That seems like an odditity to keep an eye on.

Macha was talking about it in his pregame interview with Ueck. Said he doesn't want to tell Rickie to just take pitches for the sake of it, but also said he needs the top two to have OBP's in .340 to .360 range.

I am in their online chat complaing like crazy right now. Maybe if enough people complain they'll try to stop screwing up all the time

Interesting strike zone tonight. Yo has thrown 2 or 3 darts at the knees that were called balls (same for Paulino) and then the ump rings up Matsui on a fastball at the armpits. Go high or go home I guess
