True story. When the wifey came out of the bathroom after peeing on a stick I was watching cartoon network's "Clone Wars" on my giant screen HDTV. Now we had been planning this quite precisely and when it went down it was right in the window we wanted. So she came out all stunned and I went, "That's nice dear, make a doctor's appointment and I'll believe it."

 

She looked at me and said, "That's all you have to say? Aren't you surprised at all?"

 

My response? "Of course I'm surprised honey. I fully expected this show to suck and it doesn't! Now I'm going to get back to it!"

 

The doctor was unimpressed this week when after hearing the child's heartbeat for the first time, I compared the moment to that scene from "Hunt for Red October"

 

"Wait! Listen to it at ten times speed! That's gotta be man made."

 

My wife laughed, which made a weirder noise on the machine.

I like to tell my wife before she goes for an ultrasound/check that she should not fart or the doctor will think something is wrong with the baby.

Haha! I would venture to say a lot of females don't find many of the things us males say as funny as we do.
