Why didn't Macha do a double switch last inning so Seth didn't have to hit, makes no sense

Gerut for Hart would have been perfect.

I have nothing of substance to add other than I think I'll start bypassing nationally televised games from now on, they are a jinx!

Braun out of the game now, awesome. As if our offense needed anymore adversity.

Braun is out for precautionary reasons with a wrist contusion, most likely from when he was hit earlier in the game.

We were just told that Braun left the game with a bruise on his right wrist, suffered when hit by that pitch earlier. Frank Catalonotto has replaced him in left field.

Where on his body did Braun get hit that he's out?
Looked like he got hit on either the wrist or elbow to me. Hopefully they're just being really careful here.

It is very frustrating watching this offense right now, wainwright isn't throwing strikes at all and we are swinging away at every bad pitch. I'm sure tomorrow we'll hear about how Wainwright was great but any pitcher in baseball would be destroying us with these sad approaches at the plate.

Is there any way we can hit LaRussa by a pitch. That would actually calm my frustrations right now.

This team looks like they are in need of an off day (and they have one Thursday). Between the rainout, the nine-game road trip and the night road game followed by a home day game, who can blame them? Hopefully they can pull one more out of this series and regroup on Thursday.

...and I was just starting to get a good feeling about our upcoming half of the 6th.

Whadda downer.

If I were Macha I would have just written down the word "fail."

That day off Thursday is looking better and better. Get the offense some rest and get our guys healthy.
