Harden getting rocked at Wrigley today. Thank goodness Lee is on the mound. A seven run lead isn't enough with that bullpen...even after the DFA'd Aquino.

His awful pitching last week was his finest moment with the Brewers on the field.

Harden hasn't been especially good this year. Of course neither has Soto, Fontenot, Soriano, Marmol, Gregg, Dempster, and up until very recently Lee and Bradley.

 

I know they are going to be 1 under after today, but I will still be shocked if they don't end up with 85-90 wins

5 IP 7 H 7 ER 3 BB 2 K 2 HR on 87 pitches. His ERA now stands at 5.27. Beautiful, just beautiful.

Unfortunately if Harden stays/is healthy that ERA along with the rest of his numbers should only improve. He's too good to stick with that type of line. It's odd, with how many injuries and how awful the Cubs play at times you would think their record would reflect that more. I'm with fondy and think they will end up in the 85-90 range - if they get and stay healthy.

I would agree with you guys. They are better than a .500 team and they certainly will be after Ramirez comes back. I'd sure like to be another 4-5 games ahead of them.

Oh no...here comes the Cubs. 7-4 bott 8 with 1st and 3rd 2 out. The Indians bullpen is simply horrendous.

Ugh, is Cleveland's bullpen the worst in baseball? I just heard their play-by-play guy say they have given up 70 (I'm pretty sure that's what he quoted) 8th inning runs. A little over a run an inning, that's just awful.

Indians get out of it still up 7-6...3-4-5 up in the 9th for the Cubs. Tough to be optimistic here.

Cubs get to face their old pal Kerry Wood in the 9th. It will be intersting to see how that plays out. I wonder if he will get an ovation despite coming on for a save against the Cubs?

Wow, will Cleveland ever win another game. What do you do if you are the GM of that team. Just clear house on the bullpen and let the AAA guys have at it?

No doubt Sarge, that is one bad bullpen. They already have the AAA guys up...they'd need to go to AA.
