Brandon Morrow

Any chance the Ms would move him? He's struggling for them right now and just got sent to AAA. I don't think any team is too eager to trade away young pitching, but obviously the Jack Z ties are there for the Brewers. What kind of package would the Ms ask for? Any ideas?

First off, that line made me chuckle.

Second, I think the Mariners would be very hesitant to trade away a good young and cheap arm.

Garret Olsen pitched well filling in for Bedard, sp he gets Marrow's spot for now. They have an excellent rotation with Bedard, Felix Hernandez, Washburn, plus Jason Vargas has emerged along with Olsen. Thats how they've become a contender despite the ALs worst offense.

I would be ecstatic to get Morrow but like said previously; good, cheap, young arms are like gold in the bigs. They would require a top hitting prospect for Morrow. Maybe not Escobar, but probably someone like Lawrie.

I feel that if the M's are player at the deadline, it will most likely be as sellers rather than buyers. The trade of Yuni Betancourt signals that they may already be leaning in this direction. As such, they would be seeking to acquire players like Morrow rather than trade them away, unless of course the package in return is overwhelming. Morrow's struggles this year, however, lead me to believ that this will not be the case, menaning that the M's should be better off keeping him.

Yuni Betancourt is not someone a winning team would want on their team. Betancourt = Lugo now if the Red Sox trade Lugo or DFA him does that mean the Red Sox are sellers?
