Had the radio (620 WDAE) on in the car on the way home and there is something cooking in Chicago today for the Rays game. Dwayne doing his best to jink it...almost as bad as our tv play by play guy. It's Buerhle by the way...a free agent prior to the 2008 season.

The first thing I thought, upon seeing that catch, was Gabe robbing the Dodgers at LA last year.

Watching the 9th on ESPN and hearing the Sox TV guys makes me glad I don't have to listen to them regularly...but tip of the cap to Buehrle anyway.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Both Wise and Rowand make great catches at the wall to preserve no-nos this year. Wise was running full speed to catch up to that too.

I understand I'm still riding the high of watching it live... but that catch by Wise is the play of the year REGARDLESS of the situation.... but given the situation, is that one of the greatest catches of all time?

MLB Network is replaying the top of the 9th right now. They just showed the catch.

I think that's one of the greatest catches of all time, no doubt. To rob a HR, to have it pop out and for it to save a perfect game in the 9th inning definately makes it one of the best ever, in my opinion.

ESPN is showing Jim Rome, and ESPN 2 is showing the awful SportsNation. I want highlights.

If Wise caught that to presevre a perfecto for CC on the Yankees it would go down as the 2nd greatest catch in MLB history after Willie Mays in the '54 series. If you like upgrading plays based on the situation then that is the web gem of the year hands down.

Eh... its just one game. The catch didn't add hardly anything to their win probability. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
it was just lucky BABIP against him

I must be alone in hating to see major accomplishments, special feats, or broken records like this UNLESS it's my own team. I'd root against anyone pitching a no-hitter or perfect game unless it was a Brewers pitcher -- all this does is make the accomplishment less special and make it worse that the team I pull for isn't accomplishing it. It lessens the value of every no hitter or perfect game before it while at the same time making it seem like the Brewers are pathetic for having only one measly no hitter in 40 years.

My day is literally worse from hearing this news.

Trying to piece together conversations ... Trying to find out where to lay the blame"
