I still remember one of the times I was disappointed by the showing of fellow Brewer fans was when Loretta was traded and came back to Milwaukee as an Astro to a chorus of boos. .

Mark Loretta and Jeff Cirillo were my favorite Brewers of the 90s/00s, so I hope Mark is taking a job with the Brewers!

Do ex-players ever come back to anything but boos? I don't get it. Half the time, the players are traded or otherwise dumped by the team and they are still booed. One player that specifically comes to mind is Burnitz. One of the few bright spots of that era, and we boo him? I think Brewers fans are better than average, but I will never understand that. Boo Sheffield, sure. Even if you don't agree with the booing, it makes sense. But why boo guys like Brady Clark or Valerio de los Santos?

It's become sort of a tradition that I think is more playful booing then anything. Do I think most of the fans really hate Brady Clark or guys like that? No.

Most of the fans in the stands didn't even go to games when Brady Clark was playing.

Anyway, I always thought it was a shame Loretta wasn't our 2B for a decade. Never understood why the front office let him go.

The way they treated Loretta and to a lesser extent Ronnie Belliard that last season was a crime. Talk about a lost organization.

Come on, Dean Taylor netted Ginter and Franklin for Loretta. That's a lot of talent to turn your nose up at. Not to mention how he picked up studs like Rusch, Diggins, Navarro, Snyder, Wright, Haynes, Blanco, Quevedo and Acevedo for bums like Burnitz, Cirillo, Vina, Valentin, Eldred, Weathers and Houston. Also got to love how he dumped that bum Matheny for nothing (or was that one on Bando?). Not sure how he ever saw the field considering how many great catchers the Brewers have had over the years .
