One of these things is not like the other.

Stars on the mound tonight:

Tommy Hanson, Stephen Strasburg, R.A. Dickey and Adam Wainwright.

Good one, FSN.

I just turned on the game. How Sharpie doing?

A typical Davis start. At least five line drives, two homers, three walks, two strikeouts, a Suppan like WHIP of 2.

A right thumb is important to a right handed pitcher. Thanks BA.

Yikes. How many of the HRs were lucky?
Both of the homers were lucky because the batters were lucky to have Davis pitching to them.

If the wind was blowing in from left at about 30 mph, they might have stayed in.

I wish Fox Trax was a permanent fixture of the telecast.

I wish Fox Trax was a permanent fixture of the telecast.

It would give more insight than Brian or Bill ever has.

I wish Fox Trax traded in some of its presentation for accuracy. It doesn't seem to be very consistent when comparing it to the pitch locations in pitch f/x data (or at least it never did earlier in the season...haven't had the chance to check it recently).

That would have been a new way to give up a run. Instead, it is just a new way not to get an out.

Surprisingly that was the 4th consecutive dominant outing by Ross Ohlendorf. He's been on a tear since late June. Now that he is out of the game we can come back and win a game finally.

Raise that trade value, Prince?

At least we've got a swinging chance now.

Barring Casey hitting one out, it's hard to much like the Brewers chances in the 9th, isn't it? I'm tired of being pessimistic, but actually getting a runner on base and then scoring that runner has proved to be an incredibly elusive feat for the Brewers for about a week now.

I can't be the only one who saw the Doorman shaking his head as Gomez swung at yet another pitch out of the strike zone. I also can't be the only one who laughed at that.

First pitch Gomez swings out of his shoes, second pitch Gomez feigns a bunt. Third pitch, Gomez actually reaches on a bunt. Awesome, lol.
