Obviously the production over at ESPN is better but they really do have awful announcers. It just sounds like they're uninterested in every game.

FSN's "production" is terrible. At least 3 times a game you'll miss a pitch, or a pick-off attempt, or an out. Their HD feed isn't any better than other stations standard definition. Regardless of Sutcliffe's terribleness, I'll chose ESPN.

Atta boy, Weeks. Way to botch the routine grounder...

Why pitch him away of you're playing him to pull?

I've wondered that many times this year. The defensive setup doesn't seem to jive with the plan the catcher/pitcher have for each batter.

It's not like shifting for Ryan Howard is a Roenicke thing. The entire league does it. The only time Howard hits it to left is when he homers. Tough break, but the Weeks error really hurts...he hurried it when he probably didn't have a chance at two.

Here's my new thought on Gomez. Would you give Gomez and $1 million to any of our rivals, with the stipulation that that team has to start Gomez?

Yeah, I'd put him on the Reds though probably. Just to make their offense worse. The Cubs are pretty bad already, but maybe I'd put him on the Cards too.

Was Marcum just picking at his finger there? Blister?

The lateral positioning against howard I understand, but why did casey need to play so far in? Looked like he was up near the grass. Bunt protection?
