This team needs a slump buster...who takes it for the team?

A Mark Grace style slump buster, if you know what I mean

How is this team's record so bad? We've got arguably the best lineup and rotation in years. I guess I'll take a deep breath and repeat to myself, "It's only May. It's only May."

I get too negative reading and posting. I'm taking a Brewers (and brewerfan) break until Thursday. Hopefully they get a win by then, or score more than three runs in that time frame. I'm not picky.

The Astros series was tougher for me to deal with than this one. Atlanta is at least a playoff team with one of the best complete pitching staffs in baseball. Still, all is probably forgotten if the Brewers can win 2 of 3 in St. Louis.

I hear you. I also dislike the sacrifice bunt as a matter of course. You want to trust your bullpen, but with RR managing his bullpen like Ned Yost lately, I guess you need to play for the multi-run inning, even if the hitters don't accommodate.

If you look at the table I linked to earlier, you aren't even optimizing your odds to get at least one run either, on average. You are just taking those multirun innings and shifting them to one run and zero run innings. It's like this secret that no one has told traditional managers like RR.

The key there is ON AVERAGE. Eric O'Flaherty vs. Nyjer Morgan with Braun coming up? I'll bunt. Or pinch hit.

Let's see

- Our best SP made his first start all year last night

- Our 2nd best SP has been pitching the worst he has in his career

- Corey Hart has missed most of the year

- Carlos Gomez and Nyjer Morgan have been hitting 2nd.

- Casey McGehee is OPSing .680

- Betancourt is OPSing .639

- Its May 5th

Yeah, I am not worried yet

Its May 5th. Brewer fans need to step off the ledge.
Step off the ledge or step back from the ledge. I vote step off.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

yeah. Then we'll be only 4 games below .500 instead of 5. Once you fall behind too far its tough to climb out of it
