2011-05-05 Brewers (Marcum) at Braves (Beachy) - [Brewers lose, 2-1]

[bucksman4]

Nice seeing you for 2 games, Nyjer. Back to a Gomez-only CF for awhile.

[brewers19]

Even more reason to hate bunts.

[razzzorsharp]

Wow, that sucks.

[rluzinski]

RR's smartball just broke Morgan.

Tony Plush: Winning games one DL-stint at a time.

[owbc]

Why bunt and then swing for the fences?

[rluzinski]

Can someone please pass this along to RR please:

The first time in years

I shot soda out of nose

Gee, thanks for that - gross

[brwrsfan]

That Braun at bat was bad. Was either fooled badly three times or just wanted to swing. Good thing we sac bunted so our 3 and 4 hitters could both strike out. Both swinging at pitches out of the zone.

It sure looked like Morgan broke his finger too, but we'll see. Maybe we'll catch a break on the injury front for a change.

[davemakovec]

What happened to Tony Plush?

Anyway, this is a situation when I'm okay with the sacrifice bunt. It didn't work out, but one run makes a huge difference, and you want Weeks in scoring position for Braun and Fielder.

[TuesdaysWithRillo]

Well the strike zone got expanded nicely there for Venters. Ugh.

[bucksman4]

For awhile there Fielder and Braun were unstoppable. Now they both can't buy a hit. Our offense really does sink or swim with those two.

Sucks for Marcum that he gets a no-decision here. He deserved better.

[brwrsfan]

Gomez in CF, not good for Morgan. Probably a broken finger. So let me get this straight. You put Morgan in the 2 hole, and then in his 4 at bats, you have him sac bunt twice and bunt for a hit once? Why? Just why?

And there goes the game, again. First hitter after we remove Marcum. Hello six game losing streak. We suck.

*Guffaws*

[ELCABALLO45]

I hate bunting with Braun and Fielder coming up ,especially after all the runs we have scored in the past few days. Braun and Fielders homers would have us up 4 instead of 3.

Also, there is the Morgan attitude we have all heard about showing

[bucksman4]

Marcum is the ace

Brewers can't hit worth a lick

Thirteen and Eighteen

[markedman5]

Another great start by Marcum wasted by the offense and the bullpen................

[brwrsfan]

Morgan was pissed there because his finger is probably broken. After just coming off the DL, I can understand that.

7 runs in 6 games. That's good right?

[crewcrazy]

Morgan's "attitude" is likely frustration with breaking a finger a few days after getting off the DL. Who wouldn't be upset?

[JET15]

O M G Prado

You gotta be kidding me

This can't continue

Anyone else not renew season tickets and not regretting it at all?

The Devil Wears Prado.

[theavrock]

Can someone tell us what happened to Morgan? Pretty please?

Sure, but don't need to throw a 3rd grade temper tantrum and start kicking things over in the dugout.

[davemakovec]

I have a feeling this inning is about to get really ugly. Hopefully it doesn't.
