You people cannot deny the all-around luck on that play. Ball hitting the line, Ramos dropping the ball...aggressive baserunning works there.

Obviously there was some luck there but he's also been hitting well for the past few weeks, including the bomb early tonight. The point is, he put the ball in play and drove in 2 runs.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

You can't deny he fought off a 98 MPH fast ball up and in for a hit when the vast majority of hitters would have completely missed.

Boggs hit the catcher pretty hard, but it wasn't one of theose spectacular collisions with people flying around.. More like one of those where a guy gets hurt because all the energy of the collision gets absorbed by both players. Kind of like hitting a brick wall.

No, he drove in one run and Ed Sedar drove in the second one.

I'm totally with you that Lucroy should bat higher than 8th, but using this to aid the horse corpse-beating is just annoying

Boggs hit rather weakly. Slid in feet first and kinda low.

Not really. Ramos blocked the plate great, Boggs lead with his arms and pushed Ramos over. Ramos prevented him from even attempting a slide.

How hard did Boggs hit the C?
He didn't hit him hard, catcher dropped the ball when he went to tag him....as Boggs was still about 18 steps from home...

Phew. I was thinking the one thing we don't want (aside from a homer) is to let the leadoff guy on. With the Nats speed coming up this inning plus Werth due up 4th, that's the last thing we wanted. 2 more, Ax Man.
