What would be more surprising as a player, Omar Infante being told he made the ASG last year, or Sam Fuld being asked if he'd like to be a part of ESPN's HR Derby production.

What a bunch of haters.

You mean all the Berman haters??

Geez, people really have strong opinions about announcers!!

I was enjoying the broadcast until I came on this board and read all the "joy-kill" messages.

Only a couple from Berman. There hasn't really been a true mashed ball yet though.

Interesting. According to ESPN.com, every NL player in the derby averages over 400 feet per homer this year. None of the AL players do.

Let's take up a collection to get Berman a thesaurus.

Well, at least Rickie can't do worse than tied for last.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I get that they're upset that one of their guys wasn't chosen and all, but booing a guy in his first one and basically ruining the experience for him seems extraordinarily classless.

Yeah, without trying to sound like a Cardinals fan, I've gotta say that was pretty weak. Heck, Upton has only hit 32 HR's the last two seasons to Weeks' 46.

What are the DBacks fans even mad about? 14 players in the NL have more homers than Upton. If this wasn't in Arizona, nobody would have even considered him.

Well just because you hit a lot during the season doesn't mean you are going to be good at the derby. Just look at Kemp...
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

The whole in-derby twitter thing MLB promoted is such a fail. It's all tweets by some (likely) intern, devoid of information or entertainment.
