Sounds like it is just about a done deal with Reyes to the Marlins. I don't see any team topping what the Marlins offered Reyes. I think the Marlins are bidding against themselves here as I don't see any team that was in on Reyes that were going to go over $100m and 5 or 6 years.

Well cross Miami off for Fielder and Pujols if this goes through. Also, will Hanley go to 3b or force his way out of Miami? He is probably not a happy camper right now.

Losing out on Reyes doesn't bother me much. I think we may look back and say thank god, we just dodged a bullet there. His SB's have decreased in the last few years and I am very concerned about his injury-risk moving forward. I'd rather focus on the likes of Furcal, whom I would've loved to see in Brewers blue in July, but I digress...

Reyes is a more valuable player than Fielder but has been much less durable. Reyes' contract will likely be a better deal though, because Fielder will probably get a lot more money and maybe another year.
