The first pitch to Kottaras was the only pitch in the last two atbats that seemed hittable. Can't blame him for taking as after a walk.

Gotta put the bat on the ball with bases loaded and down one run in the 9th. But sometimes that's just plain easier said than done.

Kimbrel might be the nastiest guy in the league. I knew he was good, I just never realized he had this type of stuff. Close to 15 k/9 last season to go with just 3.75 BB/9. His metrics were pretty much off the charts last season.

 

The worst thing about this game is that it will bring Kottaras' OPS below 2.0. It's probably worth firing Roenicke for that transgression.
