Dillard is out of options and is the last guy in the pen. No reason to waste Peralta doing that.

But Dillard versus Helton in a severe mismatch. Dillard is only effective vs RHers.

Marco is pretty much the best spot starter of all time.

I am convinced that he would be in the rotation for the majority of MLB teams.

With a worse guy picking up the slack at the start of last season, I don't know if the Brewers make the playoffs. BF.net people probably don't forget that, but a lot of casual fans probably do.

That was a poorly managed 5th inning by the manager. Why help out a pitcher who is on the ropes by giving him an out? My goodness, just let the guys hit.

Would have been nice to see Peralta in the game.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I think somebody here (Rluz?) looked into the whole inexperienced pitcher Brewer FAIL thing a couple of years ago and didn't find the Brewers struggle against young'ns. But, it's more fun to complain about it like it's a Brewers curse. Pomeranz goes 8IP, 11K, 1BB, 2H, 1ER.

I looked at the "The Brewers always struggle against bad/inexperienced starting pitchers" theory. I found nothing for that particular year. Really, why should we believe anything like that is really true? It's just baseball fans having unrealistic expectations of their team always being able to beat up on certain pitchers.
