I understand why you'd prefer a blowout in theory, but does that mean that after yesterday they have to wait for the ideal situation to get him in? Nobody in the pen has been up to that role he was just in, so I say give him the shot.
You may run like Mays...

Roenicke, you gotta get out there and argue more intensely. Stand up for your player. Make the ump know you are livid at getting screwed and toying with our chances to win the game. Stop being such a giant wimp.

I feel my work is done here at home. My 9th grade daughter, right after Rock said an ump usually doesn't miss that call said "Well, usually you don't have Brian Gorman umping at first."

This team is pretty tough to watch right now. And I agree the Roenicke needs to not be Mr Nice Guy all the time. This team needs a spark and that was a good opportunity. Gamel clearly had a strong argument

Just about the entire team looks just lost at the plate. Very few hard hit balls. Lots of chasing out of the zone.

Sad part is a great start by Yo is wasted by Krod and the inept offense.

definitely not the most enjoyable series (especially offensively, except for one inning). Oh well, move on. Sweep the astros, get above .500, start feeling good again, and then head to st louis.

I'm trying not to blame the offense by looking at the larger body of work and seeing that we are 5th in the NL in runs scored and 6th in OPS. Given the loss of Prince, I think that's about right where we should expect to be.

The fact that we're 7-9 has a lot more to do with being dead last in almost every statistical pitching category.

Brewers 7-10 Astros 7-10. I'm guessing Astro's message boards have simlar posts to yours. Sweep the Brewers, get back to .500, start feeling good again.

I hope you are right and love the positive outlook, but I am just hoping for a 2-1 series win.
