I assume this is in response to the GIDP by Green. I guess I just chalk it up to "sometimes guys GIDP." I mean, there was a double and a walk before that, so that was good, at least.

 

Partly that, but more a comment on the difficulty we're having scoring runs.

On ball four to Braun, Brenly showed that the catcher's poor technique may have led to the pitch being called a ball. The catcher dropped to a knee and caught the ball under-handed, possibly fooling the ump into thinking it was too low.

Yup. Good observation from the WGN broadcasting crew. This is Soto's backup in tonight, and he's not doing a good job of framing pitches.

I don't get Rock's comment that we were pinch hitting for Wolf to put in the offense. Wolf's arguably a better hitter than Ishikawa. Heck, he might be better than half our lineup.
