This is brought up just about every month. No. There's a reason teams keep letting him go, he's just not very good anymore. Yeah he might be a little better offensively than Izturis but I doubt he can still play a passable SS.

"Random" seems about right. As in "the random guy we'll have playing SS until Melvin stops patching the hole and finally gets a long-term fix.

 

As to Hall, no thanks... I'll stick with "Random."

Yeah, but I wish we were trying to replace "even decent," right now. At the moment at 2nd and SS we're trying to replace, "incredibly awful."

 

 

Not to mention, he did play well for Boston, played well for the O's for a few games....

 

I'm not trying to pump him up, that's fairly hard to do. I'm simply trying to compare him to the useless players we have, ESPECIALLY if Izturis is injured and has to go on the DL.

 

What in the world are we going to do then? Sign Craig Counsell? I don't think at that point that would even be a joke.
