A no hitter would be fitting after getting swept by Nedley

Getting no hit by Nedley would be fitting and the sad thing is, it sort of seems possible.

how on earth is this team still tied for 7th with runs scored in the NL?

I think the answer to this question goes a long way to explaining how there have been so many no-hitters/perfect games recently. There are a lot of bad offensive ML baseball teams out there.

i thought i read something that said offense is up (avg runs per game) from the past two years. i was shocked by that.

2 runs down? This game is as good as over...

Maybe we can trade a couple of bullpen arms to them mid-game?

The poster previously known as Robin19, now @RFCoder

EA Sports...It's in the game...until we arbitrarily decide to shut off the server.

Nah, if we traded them someone like Dillard he would probably shut us down.

How did we get a baserunner, missed it...

No hitter still in tact?

Wow, the apocalypse is upon us. Gomez has drawn walks 3 nights in a row.

That is almost half his total for the season.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

<3 braun <3.

I really felt good about that AB. Liriano nearing 100 pitches, walked gomez twice.....just felt like he was going to groove one.

This Plouffe guy has the Brewers number. Jeez

He has everyone's number the past few weeks...

I wonder if a hitter has ever finished the season with enough PA's to qualify for the batting title, <.170 average, and >.300 OBP. Gotta keep Weeks in the lineup or else we risk him not accomplishing this incredible feat.

According to Baseball Reference, there has been one such season, but it won't let me see who it was because I don't have a paid subscription (I did <= and >=, fwiw).

You can search it on fangraphs. It's hard to tell what qualified a player for a batting title, but any hitter that did played in the 1800's.

I've always given RR the benefit of the doubt, but of all the times to bunt, a tie game in the 9th with a runner on 2nd, no outs, and a sub-.170 hitter at the plate was NOT one of them?

Unless he bunt popped out and I just can't tell from MLB.com?
