He looked pretty comfortable up there!

Thornburg's career OPS at Charleston Southern was .841, so he should swing a good bat for a pitcher. Then again, Marcum put up similar numbers in college.

Marcum is actually a good hitting pitcher.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

Gomez is a game changer on the bases all right... Too bad he usually change the game for the worse because of his stupidity.

Wouldn't it be sweet? That ought to get him going!

wow!

It is hard to believe that ANY major league pitcher would ever walk in 3 straight.

Sure do love getting "Thorny" some runs here. A win in his first start would surely be a great thing for him psychologically.

I'd say we need at lest a 5 run cushion though, because once we get to our bullpen, all bets are off.

Well, that was the worst at-bat that I've seen a Brewer have all season.

Pretty sure Rick has had a few uglier ABs. Corey's classic 3 strike, 1 swing, Ks have also been pretty bad. But, yes, that was bad.

They're not all going to be winners. If no one ever got out, the game would never end. Keep it up Crew!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I've seen worse at-bats this year, but considering the situation, the fact that they had pretty much yet to throw a strike all inning, for him to go up there hacking away was pretty dumbfounding. Even with a different pitcher.

So, we're going with "Thorny" as the nickname, eh?

The kid has been very impressive. I love that he doesn't pitch scared, trying to nibble to much, and as a result get in lots of 2-0 or 3-1 type of counts. His command looks great, especially for a guy making his first start.
