Anyone know if he gave up a lot of HRs in the minors?
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

New strategy for Thornburg. He isn't going to give up any more home runs, he's just going to walk them all.

16 HR's 240 IP. Not sure if that is a lot but nothing like what it has been in the majors

Better than 7 HRs in 10 innings I guess. Lol

Gord said on Extra Innings last night they were hoping for 5 innings since he hasn't pitched as much since he went down.

To be fair to TT, last time a couple of his homers were from RR leaving him in too long. Certainly not the issue today.

These are the situations that just kill us. Runner on 3rd with no one out and can't score him. Heck they dont even put it in play. Dumb.

Call me crazy, but I swear everytime for the last month or so I've seen the Brewers hit 4 games below to start an In-game thread the find a way to lose.

Time for Livan to get ready.

Jeff Bianchi. Do something... Or go back to AAA and join the lifers (Green, Gamel, Maysonett etc...)

It would be nice if the kid could get through this inning and be in line for a W. I'm not optimistic, though.

According to Gameday, Thornburg was sitting at 90-93 most of the game. In the last AB where he walked Freese he dialed it up to 96. That just seems odd, unless there was a glitch somewhere.

I actually like using Ax there. An important situation against a good hitter, but early in the game so the pressure is dialed back a bit.
