Why is Livan Hernandez still pitching for the Brewers. I don't know in what universe he would be a part of the future plans. Parra is injured so bring up stetter.....

Well, he seems to be occupying space in the bullpen more than anything else. But why he's still on the roster is a valid question. I'd also like to know why Parra's soreness or impingement or whatever warranted essentially a 24-man roster (unless Livan counts as two) more than a DL stint.

We pay him (Livan) to take a beating and save our young arms, that is all
I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

It would probably work better to have him giving a beating to our young arms, rather than taking one for them.

Jason Marquis didn't give up a hit to PIT until the 7th tonight (he's now with SD). That's the same dude who gave up a grand slam to Craig Counsell in 2010 (with WAS), and who didn't last to the 3rd vs. Milwaukee back in May (with MIN).

Gah, come on Ryan. You were ahead 3-0, and struck out.

Not saying Braun is, but it seems like some of these guys are just going through the motions

Astros, who were 36-77, and 3-24 since the All Star break, one of the worst teams in baseball history, haven't won a home series since May 21-23rd. If the Brewers don't score in this next inning, they will be guaranteed a series win at home.

This is how bad it's gotten. The Astros have a .111 winning percentage in the second half, yet they are about to take the first two from the Crew.

This is a AAA team.

That loss last night just killed this team - or so it seems today. I know there's no way to prove that but those losses are gut wrenching and they've happened SO many times this year. Hard to stay on a high like they (hopefully) were after the CIN series after losing a game against the worst team in MLB like they did last night. Tonight's lackluster performance is hardly a surprise.

Ok Weeks got a double. Come on Luc. Drive him home so Axford can come in and blow it again in the ninth. :laughing

Whew. Somebody must have physically restrained Roenicke.

And Axford is warming up. :laughing

Struck out the side. Too bad we didn't use him last night when, you know, that would have won us the game.

How many runs do we need to score here to feel safe with Axford or K Rod pitching in the 10th?

Well now Henderson's "got some good numbers" against the 'Stros so hopefully RRR doesn't use that excuse anymore. Let's get some friggin' runs!

So if Hendy manages a hold here and we score in the 10th..will Axxy get the save?

Most excellent use of MLB nicknames!
