Hmm, does Roenicke like the K Rod match up better than Henderson here??

K Rod had him right where he wanted him at 3-0. :laughing

I'm sure that will be one of the first 3 questions for RRR after the game. Let's just hope K-Rod gets the job done. Maybe they are saving JH for more high leverage situations?

... and strike 1 was thigh high right down the middle of plate, thankfully Johnson didn't swing at it. The AB turned out to be win though, so all is well.

In fairness to K-Rod, he probably figured that the batter would be taking on 3-0 because they needed a baserunner, so grooving one was likely a safe move.

Great play, Scooter! Nice game for the little guy (I say that fully aware I'm about the same size he is). :)

THE BREWERS ARE ON A PACE FOR 162 WINS!

(I didn't get to write the 'on a pace' language for an opening day HR, so you'll have to excuse my optimism here.)

got him! nothing like a routine 20-pitch inning from KRod for the save!

1-0, and gotta like the pitching today, albeit with a weird twist of KRod closing. Totally ok with bringing him in for a save situation here and there during the course of the season, especially if JH has been used frequently...opening day though?

Unless something's bugging JH healthwise, I don't like the move if he's going to be getting the lions' share of save opportunities.

That's 5 shutouts of the Braves in the last 7 meetings. All 4 wins over them last year were shutouts and that's 15 shutouts recorded by the Brewers since June 15th last year. Amazing.
