On a side note, the KC Star is reporting that the Royals will draft Luke Hochevar with the first pick. They were already in negotiations with Scott Boras.

Hochevar is probably a great choice if they can negotiate the contract. Clearly they think he's the best pitcher since it's a Boras guy. Good PR move by the Royals.

So what does that change? I've read that the Rockies are prepared to take Miller with the second pick if he fell.

I'm hoping Drew Stubbs slips to 16. Never hurts to have another OF prospect.

 

EDIT: David Huff also looks good. Max Sapp could be a good pickup at catcher.

Both Mayo and Simpson on mlb.com now have Miller falling out of the top 6 if the Royals do take Hochevar.

Mayo has the Brewers taking Snider, Simpson has them taking Kiker.

 

Edit: At the Brewers pick, Mayo still had Sherzer on the board, and Simpson still had Miller on the board.

Wow, Miller in a freefall. I'm starting to think the Brewers will take Kiker.

Baseball America hinted that Miller may have set his bonus demands so high in hopes that he falls to the Yankees or Red Sox, so don't be surprised if he slides right on by the Brewers.
