what a fun game, contributions from all around, battling back after some Boston runs. enough for me to completely ignore our pitching situation

Has the worry about Arcia's bat subsided a bit? I'd say so. I thought people jumped the gun with that.

I mean you'd still like to see him get that OPS up in the. 700 range or so. But he'll be fine IMO.

Right, and a lot of people said as much who "were concerned", but the dude is also young. I'm not sure what some posters were expecting. He frustrates me with some of his lollipop throws to 1st base but everything else has me really encouraged. It's nice his bat is coming around, too.

Edit - I also love how runners are ignoring Sedar. I'm not being sarcastic, either.

Yay Brewers! Boo for another pitcher destroying my fantasy team.

Does it work in reverse? Do you have any Brewers pitchers you can cut and they become good??

Villar and base running mistakes... So much like Gomez, but to be honest, even worse...

I dropped Davies 3 or 4 starts ago. So there you go.

Villar just trying to make too much happen. Love that he's been on base three times tonight though.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Jimmy Foxx? 1930s?

Correct well done. Also Lefty Grove won the inaugural award in 1931.

1950s is Jackie Jensen in 1958, led the league in RBIs that must have been enough

I think Broxton is out of his early season slump.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

I don't remember Jackie Jensen at all.

He's suddenly got an OPS of .812.

Hitting .383 last 15 games.

Foxx put up some amazing numbers.

I might be wrong, but I think he is the only player to hit 50 or more HRs for two different teams (which were Philadelphia and Boston).
