I vote Trey Dillard just because Tim Dillard is getting up there in age.

Two tommy johns already and projects in the bullpen, if healthy. Interesting pick. As a senior with injuries...not much leverage so maybe some cost savings.

Brewers take one of the more intriguing storylines in RHP Drew Rasmussen from Oregon State. Has had two TJ's, didn't sign at pick 35 last year, loud arm when healthy. Didn't pitch in 2018 after second TJ

Really love these last two picks Twins and Brewers drafting very interesting players with high ceilings

Drew Rasmussen was a player the Rays took in the 30s last year. He missed this entire year after an injury issue. He has had multiple TJ surgeries. If he had been healthy he would have been a first rounder for me this year and last. It is a gamble but one to watch

Rassmussen working with Driveline is a good thing, looking at new ways to work, arm could play up in the pen if one is afraid of the wear and tear as a starter

Kinda love the risk here. Likely to be underslot as well.

Rasmussen, Drew Oregon State (OR) RHP R/R 4YR SR

Went in first round I believe last year.

Now a senior sign.

First rounder (in the 30s) of the Rays last year, but didn't sign due to injury. Obviously an injury gamble, but should be a cheap signing and has potential mid- to upper rotation stuff if over the TJ surgeries. Guessing we won't see his debut until mid 2019 at the earliest. Still, a nice gamble on a guy that has a lot of talent.

I like Childress here or Blaze Alexander because of his name.

Another lottery ticket high ceiling guy. After two TJs I think it’d be best to put him in pen like T. Williams. Let arm play & reduce the wear & tear on are. Can’t complain about a 1st round talent in 6th round with little leverage.

Big question to me is if they will approach 11-20 same as last year where they draft high ceiling tough signs with hopes of signing away 2 or 3 of them. I really liked that last year. Fill rest of depth needs 21-40. With emerging international development, we don’t need to fill out as much at the rookie levels.

Rasmussen is a great upside pick. Does two TJ in his past really mean he "projects" for the bullpen? Take your time with him and I'm aware of no TJ statistics indicating he can't handle a starter workload down the line.

I'm guessing the Brewers think he can start.

Interesting that they announced him as a catcher, looks like he played all over the infield in college.

Next Pick is 7 (215): @Brewers select Northwestern St U C David Fry.

This is a senior sign.

6', 162 lbs. Better get him to the buffet.

School site has him at 195lbs which explains power a bit more

I'm absolutely thrilled with the Rasmussen pick. That is exactly the type of high risk/high reward type pick I want the Brewers to make in the 6th Round. Lots of 6th Round picks never amount to much, and maybe Rasmussen won't either. But if he does, you just got 1st Round talent in the 6th Round! Love it!!!!

HS RHP Luis Gonzalez next
