Dear Davies, you might need to shut them out for 9 innings and hit a homer to win. Good luck.
Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Having to play Shaw against a lefty is basically another automatic out along with the pitcher. Tack on the Pina and Arcia struggling again this looks like another 0-1 run outing.

You maybe should take a look at Pina's atbats since he's come off the DL...

Another of the all too familiar “salvage” games.

The sky may not be falling but the Brewers have been treading water pretty much since the 7-1 start. The good news is that nobody else has taken off, but by losing series to the league’s bottom feeders, the Brewers have missed a great opportunity to open up a little cushion.

Even more alarming is that some of the early season question marks have turned into real problems. A month or so ago it looked like the pitching may be stabilizing, but it has turned back the other way with too many short starts taxing a bullpen that isn’t as good or as deep as last year. It seems like the Brewers need 2 shutout innings from Hader to finish off every win.

Plus, as the season nears the halfway mark, hopes are fading that Shaw and Aguilar will snap pout of their horrendous slumps. It’s one thing to have an off year but they have been almost complete dead weights. What we thought might be one of the top offenses in the NL is closer to the middle of the pack in scoring runs, and that isn’t going to be nearly enough to overcome the pitching. And if any of Yelich, Moose, or Grandal gets hurt or goes into a slump, there may not be anyone to pick up the slack.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Best hitter on the planet!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I really wish we had brought up Hiura so he could've prevented that homer.

Ay ay ay, I had to start Braun on my fantasy team today. My outfield is trash and I have a few guys that were inexplicably benched today. Excellent start to the day for me on both fronts.

We would have had a guy on base for Braun's homer if Hiura was batting first or second. Do you understand now?

;)

This! Perfection!

We've scored 1 run combined the last 2 games.

Yeah, what's your point? Brew4U was responding to a poster who literally said it was a short-lived lead and Hiura is who we need. Hiura doesn't pitch.

The point is this: if we had a better offensive player in the lineup at the top of the order ... we might not be behind now ... we might not be bleeding so much as we are in this west-coast trip. :)

Tatis Jr... what a ball hog!

They need some more righties on this bench, Hiura, Dubon, Saladino, whoever, they at least need some options. Having to start an already greatly struggling Travis Shaw against a LHP is just nuts.

This lineup is rough after Grandal. Even back to the top with Cain. How can you score enough runs with three dangerous bats? Man. Aguillar not starting again but he's not expendable?

If you think Counsell would have Hiura at the top of the line-up even if here were up right now, I have bridge to sell you. And no, I'm not disagreeing that Hiura shouldn't be up.
