Those hoping for return of Cory Spangenberg can stop waiting. He signed a contract with the Seibu Lions of Nippon Professional Baseball. No details on the contract, but let's hope he comes away with a nice paycheck.

Spangenberg played 32 games with Milwaukee last year, getting semi-regular playing time down the stretch.

Yea as he was playing it seemed like he was doing so well then you saw the stats and it didn't line up at all. I remember several times looking up the stats and thinking "man it sure seems like he's doing better than this". Seemed like he was doing something every game but the stats prove not. Still, he was a respectable depth guy to have as a just in case for injuries. Good luck to him.

Good. Glad he cant be brought back. He had a couple neat moments and big defensive plays, but he is what he is. A crappy stopgap he was never going to be better than what he was.
