They have guys that should have made the team over him. Barker, Small, just to name a few. I’m ok with him but he’s nothing more than a holdover.

I am 100% convinced that Barker's reputation and ability to pitch at the MLB level is significantly far more inflated on this board than in the Brewers' front office.

We're all coming off a shortened Spring Training. We need to work the kinks out. All over-reactions and hot takes are welcome. Let's get 'em out in the open and pull the rain tarp over 'em.

I personally don't understand the Barker hype. I've watched Nashville for a couple years semi-regularly. He does not have lock down stuff whatsoever.

I’m hoping this will encourage one of them to buy the tickets I have listed for one of the games later this month.

My daughters refuse to go to Cubs games because of some unpleasant experiences in the past, and I don’t argue with them.

Same here. I don’t attend games against the Cubs in Milwaukee. Their fans just take all the entertainment out of the game.

I don't entirely disagree, but I don't know why "shortened spring:" and "nasty weather"  are things that get frequently thrown out like that isn't a thing for the other team too.

guys I named two players off the top of my head. And not only that I said I was ok with Urena being on the team. What’s going on with the board today.

So far the only thing Hunter Renfroe has done is make me really miss Avi Garcia.

I'm sure there are plenty of 6 AB stretches that Avi had that would make you happy he is gone.

No idea what to thing of these two games playing in the cold...but it doesn't seem to bother the Cubs that much.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

I'm not directing anything at you, my friend. Sorry it came across that way. I'm more responding to the calls for Barker, in general, over the past year or two. And, more or less, sharing what I've seen from Barker personally.

Sorry if you were offended, but Barker gets mentioned by a lot of posters here as someone who should be a significant part of the MLB pen, and it is obvious to me that the Brewers front office doesn't see his low 90s stuff as MLB worthy.

No worries. We all just need to settle a bit. It’s a frustrating two games for sure but this team is good. They may not be showing it right now but they will be right there at the end.

Sure, ask my wife and she'll agree I've had slumps over 5 + games, but the Brewers really make an art of playing like little leaguers when things aren't going well.

But we were all told above that this team may not win 70 games!

Absolutely. I'm cool as a cucumber right now. This is Game 2. They look quite stinky but I don't get worked up in these games. We really never know a way a season is going. Case and point: Last season we stunk for a good month or more to start the season.

I have to say that I LOVE the MLB.TV feature that allows you to select the radio audio that is timed up perfectly with the video.  I'm going to love listening to Uecker again! (Ok, not Uecker today, but opening day was nice).
