10 games today, given the Nashville and DSL Brewers-2 doubleheaders!

I'm happy to see that 1B/OF Yeison Perez is back in action for DSL Brewers-2 after being out for several games.

Jeez, three losses for the DSL clubs today. That's not a good way to start the weekend!:

  • DSL Tigers1 11, DSL Brewers2 10 - walk-off loss on a 2-run single with 2 outs in the 9th inning. This game was a continuation of the original July 7th game which the Brewers led 9-5 in the 4th inning when play was halted
  • DSL Mets1 5, DSL Brewers1 2 - gave up the final 4 runs of the game
  • DSL Tigers1 3, DSL Brewers2 0 - held the Tigers to 1 hit but committed 4 errors in the loss

On the positive front:

  • The statistics from Brewers-2's July 7th game will finally reflect for players like Demetrio Nadal (4-for-6, 2 RBIs) and Yeison Perez (2-for-3, 4 RBIs)
  • 18-year old RHPs Darling Solano (4 1/3 IP, 3 R (1 ER), 1 H, 2 BB, 2 HBP, 2 WP, 9 Ks) and Franddy De Los Santos (1 2/3 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 1 WP, 3 Ks) combined on Brewers-2's 1-hitter in the second game, striking out 12 in 6 innings
  • OF Duncan Garcia (2-for-3, double, 2 RBIs) and 18-year old RHP Aneuris Rodriguez (4 IP, 1 R (0 ER), 3 H, 2 BB, 1 WP, 2 Ks) each performed well in Brewers-1's loss, while 19-year old RHP Cristofher Carrasco struck 7 batters in 2 2/3 innings despite being hit hard (4 runs on 5 hits)

Erick Reyes had a day at first base for the DSL Brewers 2 he'll most likely want to forget: 3 errors - two missed catches and a fielding error (that appears to have led to the first two runs). Ouch.

Game One of Nashville's doubleheader in Jacksonville is underway, with the series tied 1-1. LHP Ethan Small (3.38 season ERA in AAA) is your starter. CF Esteury Ruiz comes in with a 7-game hitting streak:

2 - Esteury Ruiz - CF
3 - Brice Turang - SS
4 - Jon Singleton - 1B
5 - Pablo Reyes - 2B
6 - Pedro Severino - C
7 - Joey Wiemer - RF
8 - Weston Wilson - 3B
9 - Matt Lipka - LF
X - Ethan Small - P

High-A Wisconsin trails 3-0 in their series at Cedar Rapids and has RHP Brady Schanuel (3.76 season ERA) making his 2nd career start tonight. DH/SS Eduardo Garcia has a 6-game hitting streak:

Boy, I'm starting to get reallly comfortable watching Frelick, to Ruiz, to Turang. I want to watch these young men grow together in Milwaukee.

Is that 2 days in a row now with no Jackson? ?

edit: Just saw this post from @ARobsBrewCrew in the Roster Speculation thread... whoa! Big if true

Unfortunately, I have to post on this thread until I get more clarification, but Jackson Chourio and Jeferson Quero are currently at the airport in Milwaukee.  I am nowhere near fluent in Spanish but there was talk about Biloxi.

The Mudcats have won three games in a row at home against Fayetteville and have 20-year old RHP Alexander Vallecillo  (4.60 season ERA in ACL/Low-A) making his 3rd Low-A start tonight. DH/INF Alberis Ferrer returns from a 2-week injury and RF Hendry Mendez has an 8-game on-base streak:

Couldn’t agree more. Not a ton of power from this group but they do just about everything else. Can’t wait to see these guys in Milwaukee.

Yup, 2 days without Mr. Chourio and 3 days without Mr. Quero.

He had been scuffling just a little bit so hopefully just a break. That being said, you don’t hear about injuries in the minor leagues until someone has been out a few games so who knows.

Turang with a 3-run Ding Dong off the RF foul pole. That's all 5 rbi's to Brice. What's that about power? 102 mph off the bat. I keep telling y'all...he is just starting to tap into his power. The swing is so easy. That was a first-pitch blast after a 12-pitch first AB

And here I was feeling melancholy Garrett Mitchell has been off the line-up card for two consecutive games. LOL. Hopefully, I'll see him in the second game.

I may have said expecting any offense from Turang at the MLB level early on would be a mistake and he would be best suited for the Opening Day roster.

But I'm still very good with logic be damned and bringing him up!

It's quite something to be watching the Ethan Small pitch - back-to-back - to C Payton Henry and then INF Luis Aviles Jr. I'm in the Brewers Time Machine.

I'm going to 'guess' Chourio's elbow injury is related to his full out sprawling diving catch in shallow center field. That was a heck of a grab. I'm going to tell myself that until I hear otherwise. I still can't believe we didn't get a clip of that web gem. His best catch all season.

Joey Wiemer just followed up his early strikeout with a 100 mph rope-shot double off the right field wall. Great to see Joey sitting back on that and taking it oppo.

Sal Frelick's first out is a laser-shot 100 mph line drive on a diving acrobatic snag by the Jump Shrimp second baseman. Man, he is on some kind of tear right now. That ball was laced. BTW, these are all coming off lefties today.

Frelick just hit a frozen rope that unfortunately got snagged by the 2nd baseman for an out. Tough luck.

Yeah, he really poked that one. He's just really on a tear right now.

AA Biloxi is down 2-1 in their road series in Montgomery, but has stud LHP Robert Gasser making his 3rd organizational start (1.00 ERA in 9 IP over 2 games). Sparkplug DH/SS Andruw Monasterio (.956 OPS in AA ball) returns after 2 days out of the lineup:
