And it’s against bad teams.

Since the middle of June, the Cubs have a better record than the Yankees.

They jettisoned their anchors (Simmons, Villar, Rivas, Bote, and got Heyward and Schwindel on the DL) and have been a different team the last 2.5 months.

The squad so much remains me of 2014 when they beat up bad teams early and just never improved and only scored with walks and errors from the other team and when that dried up in September so did the offense.

Turang and Frelick might be awful, but calling them up would at least show that we have a pulse. Produce or call up guys lighting it up in AAA.

I'm personally a big fan of that brewery.  The bock is good, but the Sea Salt & Lime, Weiss & Easy, Ruby Redbird, Strawberry Blonde, Light Blonde, and S'Mores are fantastic.  I see they have a Toasted Amber - going to go and look for that this weekend.  If the Bonfire Brewskis is a variety pack, I'll be grabbing every one on the shelf.

I'll keep that in mind. I don't always drink Shiner Bock but I had a GF who was from Texas and that's what she drank. She was hot but also crazy so it didn't last, but I still pick up a sixer of Shiner Bock every now and then (since my local Pick n save carries it) to relive old times.

When crazy > hot you have to move on!

2014 was just awful. Scoring a run a game. Braun forgot how to pull a ball.  2017 was bad too. 2022 is a waste of a season as of today. No reason we have to be this bad over the last few months.

Of course, happy for baseball, life and health. On a different level, is asking for a .260 hitter too much?

I was at the game tonight. I don't think the team is showing much energy. Other than Adames, I think they looked dead. I can't stand people not running full speed and I saw that several times tonight.

This is going to fun to see when Woodruff and Or Burnes is traded. I wish someone would look to trade for Yelich.  But the team has taken steps back since they lost game 7 at home. They should go young and let the kids play.

With that contract the only way to get rid of Yelich is to bundle him with Burnes or Woodruff and take a diminished return.

No , can't do that ! This team has to many holes .we can't diminish the return of one of our top starters to get rid of Yelich , after all , believe it or not he still is one our better hitters ( disgusting ).
