Wisconsin welcomes DH/OF Jackson Chourio (.797 OPS in High-A, .973 in Low-A) back for his first action since August 17th, as the Timber Rattlers strive to snap out of a 2-and-9 skid at home against Lansing. RHP Carlos F. Rodriguez makes his 5th start for the team, not missing a beat since promotion (1.86 ERA in High-A, 3.53 in Low-A):

Low-A Carolina trail their series in Kannapolis 3-2, but hopefully have an advantage with rehabbing RHP Max Lazar (4.22 ERA in 32 High-A innings) getting the start. 3B Branlyn Jaraba comes in with a 7-game hitting streak:

C Alex Hall hit a 2-run homer and now 19-year old RHP Arielbi Gonzalez comes in for his own Carolina debut. Mudcats lead 5-0 in the bottom of the 6th inning.

So so so many changes in Carolina and Manager Victor Estevez just rolls with it.

Arielbi Gonzalez gave up 2 runs in the 7th, but bounced back to retire his final 5 batters. Then RHP Yerlin Rodriguez made his own Mudcat debut, pitching a scoreless 9th inning. 5-2 Carolina victory.

This just in: Carlos F. Rodriguez can pitch the baseball. My goodness. What an incredibly promising season for the young hurler.

An absolutely incredible stateside managerial debut for Estevez. With Fredericksburg down 6-0 to Down East in the 9th frame, it also appears they’ll move back to 3.5 games back of second half first place. Big win today!

Doubt it. We probably just don't trust the Lugnuts, as they plunked Jackson Chourio in his last plate appearance (after today's homer), beaned Darrien Miller in 4 straight games and irrationally set off a brawl yesterday when one of their players was beaned on his foot on an 0-2 off-speed pitch in a 1-run game.

Yeah, some serious bush league stuffs coming for the ‘Nuts’. I mean, it was a slider that hit his back foot and he acted like Morales broke into his apartment. Super odd.

Also, Jeison Peña is really struggling to adjust to his new surroundings. The youngster may need some lower leverage spots to get comfy.
