I STILL say "Lars Nootbar" sounds like something you carry in your backpack on a hike or a bike ride.

Sounds like a character from one of the new Jumanji movies.

Why has Hiura not been in the lineup or even gotten an AB since (checks notes) last week Friday?

I know this is only the 3rd game of 4 since then in which the Brewers faced a righthanded starter, and he's likely their best hitter against RHP, so there's plenty of good reasons not to get him in the lineup at this stage in the season.

Needed burnes tonight.     Didn’t show up

He gave up 3 runs over 5 and will probably get at least 1 more inning - that's not a game wrecking start.

Brewers haven't gotten a big hit when they've needed it despite having 8 hits tonight, and the trail by 2 with 4 cracks left...lot of game left.

So we got an Alexander start.     Needed a burnes start.

Hiura's OPS against RHP this year is 0.983 with a slugging percentage over 0.600

the next highest Brewer is Wong at 0.827, with Rowdy and Renfroe hovering around 0.820

It's actually not really close - Hiura is their best hitter against RHP

This has pretty much been the norm for a 2nd half Burnes start, but I get that it'd be great if he hadn't given up any runs yet since the Brewers have only scored 1

He's got a quality start going right now. Unless you think he's gonna go 8 and strike out 14 every game....Burnes showed up, the bats have not to this point by leaving so many guys on base.

Alexander has an ERA of almost 6 and has gone 6 innings just once (in his first start). So, you're wrong.

This is the Brewers. We need our pitcher to hold the opposition to 1 or 2 and then hope the offense & bullpen will make it enough.
