What about Luke Voit

Luke Voit remains unsigned. RH hitter could split time at 1B and DH with Tellez and Winker. Pretty good on-base skills, decent (20+ HR) power. He's likely looking at a one year deal if not a NRI.

He has career reverse splits although still above average against LHP at 110 wRC+. I’d rather scoop up Kyle Garlick off waivers to be a 4th OF/DH than sign Voit.

The Phillies 1b problems got worse with their replacement Hall needing surgery and the comment he made was I hope to return in 2023.

They are going with Kody Clemens, who is Lefty and going to platoon a RHB with him.  I'd check in with them and any interest in Voit.  Sets up a spot to add Frelick. Move Brosseau to 1b when Tellez isn't starting. Anderson remains 3b.

The thing is - I am sure most other teams realize that Voit is better against RHP too.  So he is bad for that type of platoon.

After all the consternation surrounding Keston last year, the whole concept of "reverse splits" has reached a pretty high level of nauseating IMO. For gosh sake, stop employing these guys if you are going to platoon.

Keston has a career 64 wRC+ vs LHP.

Voit has a career 108 wRC+ vs LHP.

Voit was awful against them last year.  If they want a platoon mate with Rowdy just have Brosseau take that role.  Though, I do agree that Keston isn't a better option against LHP than Voit, but neither of them should be used, imo.
