Please explain - from your perspective - “how” they’re different

Strzelecki has little MLB track record, is optionable, and makes pennies. Winker and Yelich, in addition to having long MLB track records, did/do not have options and make a significant amount of money.

Okay - thank you

I personally believe that 90+ games is plenty of time for Winker on a one-year contract that expires at season’s end

He has been terrible … not hitting for average or power … simply time to move on despite his pre-neck injury track record

I hate to see Milwaukee wait until the trade deadline to make this change … those three weeks - against great teams - could be too costly

The issue is Winker has been better since coming off the IL. He has a 95 wRC+ and in his last 10 games he has a 133 wRC+

It would be awesome if - like Adames & Yelich - he got red hot … we MUST find offense somewhere

I can easily think of 5 - maybe 6 -players on the current 26-man roster who could go away & I would celebrate: Winker, Tellez, Tapia, Perkins, & Mejia for sure

I don’t recall a recent team with this many weak, bottom of the roster players

I’d rather see Jahmai Jones, Keston Hiura, Abraham Toro OR a few trade acquisitions on the team in place of any of the above players

In time - Tyler Black & Sal Frelick too

I also wonder if Urias will ever figure things out - if so, he could also be an improvement

I know Hiura hasn’t exactly been crushing it since he returned from his injury but feels like it’s time for him to get a chance with Rowdy out for a month maybe more

And the injuries keep coming.  Brian Anderson has not been great this year, but hard to believe Monasterio will be better.  I'm glad Jahmai is coming back up, but I have to believe Toro would have been a better option.  Toro is a switch hitter and would be a good platoon mate with Monasterio (who is great against LH, but Worse than Winker against RH).

Time to cut bait with Winker & give Toro some at bats - especially with his defensive versatility

We need a LH bat …. Hiura also offers zero defensively … Toro makes more sense for now

Hopefully Frelick gets hot & gets an opportunity in place of Perkins

This is not bad news for Brewers fans … Rowdy is a “good guy” but he’s been ice cold for months & is limited to first base & occasionally DH

Anderson is a bigger loss because of his defensive versatility - he’s been above average at 3B & adequate in RH with his cannon arm

Maybe these IL stints will lead to trades in advance of the deadline - which is good for us

What is your obsession with Toro? He has an 87 wRC+ in AAA and while he is "versatile" defensively he is not good at any of those spots.

Of the available AAA options, he is our best candidate with his switch hitting & defensive versatility

He’s not great but he’s better than Winker or Perkins or Tapia

Winker and Perkins destroyed AAA pitching this year and Toro is 13% below league average and like I said his "versatility" is useless because he's not actually good at any of those spots defensively. It's like saying Hiura is versatile defensively because he can play 1B, 2B, LF...

If the Brewers want to get creative - I’d love to see them bring up Tyler Black to DH

Toro may be average at best defensively in a few positions … but Winker is terrible defensively & is washed as a hitter

Gotta be frustrating for switch-hitting Abraham Toro to not get the call ahead of Jahmai Jones to replace Brian Anderson.

Toro, you know, actually plays 3rd base!

April OPS: .682
May OPS: .775
June OPS: .819
July OPS: .977

OPS against LHP: .800
OPS against RHP: .768

The offensive environment in AAA is outrageous this season even in the International League. Here are Toro's monthly wRC+.

April - 73 wRC+

May - 85 wRC+

June - 87 wRC+

July - 130 wRC+

So those OPS numbers look pretty but July is the only above average month he's had at the plate.

Good news - it’s JULY 👏🙌

You posted earlier than Winker has a 133 WRC+ in July
