AA Biloxi leads Rocket City 1-0 and hosts them for a doubleheader tonight, with RHP Justin Jarvis (2.57 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 10.9 K/9 in 28 IP) starting the first game. 20-year old C Jeferson Quero (.265 AVG, .742 OPS in 73 PAs) has hit safely in 9 of his last 10 games.

AAA Nashville sends LHP Alex Claudio out for a rare spot start, tied 1-1 in their home series against Gwinnett. 2B Patrick Dorrian is on a good 3-game run (5-for-13, double, 2 HRs, 5 RBIs).

The High-A Timber Rattlers seek to avoid a 3-0 series deficit at home against South Bend. Solid RHP Tyler Woessner (2.77 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 7.3 K/9 in 26 IP) starts tonight’s clash. SS Eric Brown Jr. has a 1.004 OPS over his last 37 PAs.

The Low-A Mudcats send 22-year old RHP Will Rudy (4.1 IP, 1 R, 7 Ks in first game) out for his 2nd start of 2023, seeking to avoid a 3-0 series hole at home against Fredericksburg. DH/OF Kaylan Nicasia (.239 AVG, .750 OPS in 65 PAs) has walked in 12 of his last 14 games.

The Shuckers have out-hit Rocket City 9-2 through 4 innings, but only finally got some runs to show for it via a 2-out double by Jeferson Quero and 2-run homer by Zavier Warren. Starting RHP Justin Jarvis is excellent as usual.

Justin Jarvis was only at 79 pitches, but gives way to RHP Justin Yeager to start the 6th inning, Biloxi leading 2-0. This is Yeager’s first appearance since an injury on April 11.

After winning the opening game of today’s doubleheader, LHP Adam Seminaris (7.66 ERA, 1.88 WHIP, 12.5 K/9, 22.1 IP) starts the nightcap for Biloxi against Rocket City. DH/3B Tyler Black has a 1.016 OPS through 112 PAs.

Yes, Chase Costello worked around that hit to earn the save, ultimately stranding that potential game-tying run at 3rd base on a liner to Luis Lara center on a full count to end it.

CF Monte Harrison has shaken off the early season rust to really contribute for the Sounds. He singles, steals 2 bases and scores on a sac fly for a critical insurance run here in the 8th inning. Sounds lead Stripers 4-2.

I don’t recognize this version of LHP Russell Smith! He’s struck out 5 of 6 batters in the 7th and 8th innings as Wisconsin retains its 3-1 advantage.

I don't know how you have that as a statline at AA. Biloxi just got their second hit of the game, but prior to that had scored 9 runs on just a single hit. That's a bad little league game.
