Meanwhile, Myers throws one of those 'way too flat' heaters right over the heart of the plate. 1-0 Biscuits. That ball just sits there.

And, in Nashville, Luke Voit just crushed a line drive oppo laser shot to drive in another Big Man in Jon Singleton. 2-0 Sounds in the bottom of the 2nd.

And, yes Sir!, C/DH Darrien Miller just drove in two on a line drive smash down the RF line. It's 2-0 T-Rats in the top of the first.

HEY NOW! OF Jace Avina smashed a flattened deep double in his first AB. Fear not, fine fellows, he just crushed a ball over the LF ball. 4-0 Micro Brews. He knocks in Barrios. That was 103 mph off the lumber.

Well, RHP Edwin Jimenez just conceded the game-tying 2-run HR on a no doubter to left field. That ball was absolutely smashed. Both hits were on batters sitting on his heater. 2-2. One down. Still the first frame.

OF Skye Bolt just plays a fantastic glove. He just saved Gasser further damage on a beautiful running catch at the wall in deep RF. And, meanwhile, Mr. Misiorowski grabs his 13th straight out on another, you guess it, off-speed K. 8 on his evening. Man, he is DIALED.

OH BOY. 14 straight. On another just ridiculous 90 mph breaking ball. My goodness. That's 9 K. Misiorowski hits the next batter on a questionable non-called swing. But, who cares? This is ridiculously sexy.

For the first time in his Pro career he's made it through 5 IP. And, it's not even competitive. That's 0 H, 0 BB, 1 HBP, 9 K. 62 pitches. Oh baby. THey're calling it for the young hurler. And, eeeeek, they're warming up RHP Jeison Peña. Come on young fella. Find your best stuff, please!

Myers leaves a hanger on the inner half and it's now 3-0 Biscuits in the 4th. Meanwhile, a Harrison sac fly to RF has the Sounds up 3-1. Carolina still holding a 4-0 lead.

Wes Clarke has now nabbed two runners by considerable margins. Hell of a night throwing the ball to 2B. Myers leaves the 4th on a K. Shuckers till trail 3-0.

Heck of an rbi AB by Eric Brown JR. He took an 0-2 count full. Fouled off several pitches. Missed a bases clearing double down the LF line by inches. Knocks in the broken bat rbi to LF. Gets the Kernels' starter out of the game while at it. 3-2 T-Rats.

Meanwhile, OF Michael Reed allows the tying run across on an extremely lazy gather in LF off a sharply hit line drive. A very bad error. It's 3-3 and the runner advances to 2nd on the E7. Gasser doesn't look particularly sharp, regardless as his hot-to-cold Triple-A work continues.

RHP Tobias Myers' biggest issue is his propensity to throw batting practice. He hangs pitches. I've seen it in nearly every outing. Heater. Off-speed. They sit on a platter. He just doesn't have the consistent movement needed to be a consistently impactful starting pitcher. There are feel good moments and outings for sure. But, he simply gives up way too many well hit balls.

INF Tyler BLack just absolutely crushed another HR off the scoreboard in RF. Just a no doubter. What. A. Stud.  Chourio struck out on a pitch 3' outside and in the dirt on the ensuing AB. He continues to struggle.

It absolutely should be noted. We are in the top of the 8th frame in Zebulon. And there is still something going on that shant be named. Tune in if you dare. But, there is indeed still something missing from the Down East scorecard.

OF Lamar Sparks just ripped a solo jack. OK Shuckers! Let's try and steal one late! 6-4 Biscuits off that sky high looping RF blast. 7th inning.

The No Hit bid ends. RHP Tanner Shears came on and walked batter numero uno on 5 pitches. He then gave up a sharply hit groundball single under the diving glove of 1B Jesus Chirinos. 5-0. And that was the Wood Ducks' first hit. Men on 1B and 2B. Nobody down. The ensuing batter an absolutely broken bat dribbler and Barrios can't field it. Bases juiced. Nobody down. 5-0 Mudcats.

RHP Tanner Shears has what we would call a nasty splitter. That thing is a knuckler. I saw it ranging 80-87 mph. It was rocking a keen 700-950 rpm spin rate. You pair that with a mid to upper 90's heater? That's a tantalizing relief arm. Carolina wins 5-0. Shears leaves those bases juiced. Mudcats move within a 1/2 game. That's Misiorowski's first career victory.

Oh we're getting the RHP Edwin Jimenez to the RHP Joseph Hernandez look tonight. This is not a combo we've seen as of yet. 8-2 T-Rats. They are looking for that 3-0 series lead.

RHP Kaleb 'Bo' Bowman is on for the Shuckers in the 9th inning in what will be his first Double-A frame. The Shuckers trail 9-4. Let's remember: One year ago Bowman was pitching in the Bundesliga. Literally. What a story. After Myers' unimpressive evening, LHP Russ Smith piled on some unimpressive work giving up several long balls.

Though, I would like to say: @sveumrules really stepped up and gave me those choice concise run down nuggets I needed for my nightly trips down the country road to the gas station to check in on the scores. LOL. Thanks my friend!

Glad it was just an internet outage, mon frere.

Looks like Misio must have known it was your first night back so he decided to dial it up for the occasion.
