looks like a positive move, but continues a trend of just adding from the scrap heap. prefer him to guys like Ruf though.

He's basically a replacement level player for a replacement level salary, but you know what you are getting with Tapia. He'll post an 80-90 OPS+ just like he has done everywhere he has been.

He improves the roster. I'd feel considerably better if he happened to hit right-handed, though.

He is better than a Ruf, it will be interesting to see the corresponding move. Probably toro going back to Nashville

Tapia is nice 4th OF, he will likely hit over .250 with average defense, no power, and a bit of speed. Hopefully Frelick is up to speed quickly and can make it to the big league club in a few weeks. Tapia doesn't complement Frelick well but maybe makes it easier to DH Yeli more down the road.

Yeah, this is a not-so-subtle sign that the Brewers will be patient with Frelick.
